In The Secret Journal of Brett Colton Kathy is a sophomore. She has an older sister named Sam, and an older brother named Alex. In their family there is also Brett. Brett is Kathy's brother. But Kathy doesn't remember Brett. Brett died when Kathy was two, from leukemia. (He was seventeen.)
Then Kathy turns sixteen. Brett had wrote a journal meant for Kathy's sixteenth birthday. She starts reading it, and finds that now when her family talks about him, (something she used to hate). She joins in and enjoys the "Brett Moment".
While all of this is happening, Kathy has an interesting life at school too! The school decided to do a tutoring program and Kathy is assigned to tutor Jason West, a popular, Mormon, football jock.
Big surprises are in store for Kathy, you just read it and see.

This book is about a girl named Mississippi Mibs for short has her 13 birthday and finally gets her Savvy which is not too good for Mibs.
My favorite part in the book was when a girl named Bobbi and a boy named Will Jr. find out that Mibs and her brothers, mom, and family are not normal. That they can make storms and electricity and Mibs's power. And when they go into a diner and a lot of truckers had tattoos and Mibs had passed out because they all were talking to her.

Harry Potter 7 is a great book. I highly recommend it to anyone & everyone (if you've read books 1-6).
Harry Potter 7 starts with Voldemort and Nagini. Voldemort is mad at Harry and his death eaters. Well at least that is what Harry dreams. When Harry wakes up, after a while, the Dursleys get taken to safety by wizards. Then all Harry's good friends come. (Hermione, Ron & family) They go to Bill and Fleur's wedding and have to run and leave, not getting caught by Death Eaters, on an adventure to destroy Horcruxes and hopefully destroy Voldemort. If you want to know if Harry defeats Voldemort, read these books.

They lived in a Japanese community in Iowa, then they moved to a Japanese community in Georgia by their uncles house. Her mother took a job in a hatchery. Katie and Lynn started going to the new school. It was very hard for both of them to make friends. Their mother gave birth to a baby boy named Samsun. Lynn finally found a friend named Amber. She was very popular so Lynn felt very proud of herself. Ever since Lynn became friends with Amber she started painting her fingernails, going to the mall all the time, and doing things she never thought she would do. One day Lynn, Katie, and Samsun went on a picnic in this beautiful grassy area owned by their dad's rich boss. Samsun wandered off and got stuck in a bear trap. Lynn and Katie found someone willing to come and take Samsun home. Lynn got very very sick and it didn't take long for her to die. That's when her family started to fall apart, but it's up to Katie to remind them that there's always going to be Kira-Kira in their future.
